In My Costco Cart

Feeding a family of 6 on any kind of budget can be tricky! Feeding a family of 6 with health in mind is even more tricky! It takes work, prayer, and time, but it's possible! One of the little tips that has helped me is finding what stores have organic products that are less expensive then other stores. Costco is one of those stores. While you do have to have a membership, I think it is worth it if you shop there weekly and feed a family. You can always go with a friend or family member who has a membership too:)! So let me show you my Costco Cart for the week!
This was my Costco cart for this week… *not organic
Organic...
Bread
Mixed deep greens
Coconut Oil
Carrots
Spinach
Strawberry
Avocados *
Chai seeds

If you can't get to local Farmers Markets, and your trying to watch your budget, or have a big family, or all of the above, Costco is worth the stop.  Costco is a great place to stock up on organic items and save money.

HIGHLIGHT: One item from my cart I want to highlight is the bread. I guy both the Sprouted Honey Wheat with Flaxseed and the Multi-Grain with Omega 2. You get two and going off memory there are about $2.70 each. You have to buy two, but it's worth it and they freeze well! They have NO oil, low sodium, whole grains, organic, and 100% Natural.  All ingredients are REAL food ingredients! It took me a while to find a bread that was both healthy and delicious, and this is a great one. We also use Ezekiel, but this bread is softer which the kids like better.

Just in case your curious here are the ingredients for the Multi-Grain Bread:
Organice Whole Grain Wheat Flour, Organice wheat flour, Organice Honey, Organic Oat Bran, Organic Oats, Organic Sund flower Seeds, Organic Flaxseed, Organic cultured Wheat, Organic Vinegar, Was Salt, Yeast.

Become a label reader! Don't trust the marketing on the front of a product! The ingredient list is always telling of what is really in your food! One trick is if you can't pronounce the ingredients look for a different product that you know what you are eating.

Whatever you decide to do; take one more step toward healthy eating this week! And if you have a product you find is healthy and delicious we would love to hear what it is! :)
