Cauliflower and Sweet Potato Soup

It was cold here, so I decided to make a cauliflower soup recipe that I had seen, when I realized I didn't have a few of the ingredients. So I decided to make up my own recipe. Here's what I came up with was pretty tasty.

1 carton of hearty vegetable broth

1 head of cauliflower

1 onion diced

1 cup of wild rice

About 7 Diced fresh green beans

Three stocks of celery diced

For leafs of kale peeled and cut into small pieces

One or two sweet potato diced

1 teaspoon of thyme

Garlic powder salt pepper to taste

It really was yummy.  What do you make when it's cold?

Homemade Power Bar

This home made Power Bar is a easy, quick, and powerful boost of protein and energy. A great little JEWEL before a to start your morning off right, give you a boost before a workout, or satisfy that crave for that afternoon slump! Just grab….
* Piece of whole toast (we use Alpine Sprouted Organic Whole Wheat- from Costco)

* Spread Almond, Cashew, or Peanut Butter on the bread

* Add sliced Bananas 

* Drizzle a little Organic Raw Honey (we also buy our at Costco)

* Sprinkle with a teaspoon or more of Organic Hemp Seeds 

Hope you try this tasty little Jewel and add in a healthy snack today!

Purple Kale Smoothie

2 leafs of kale (I did not include the stem)
2 cups spinach 
1 red apple
1/2 cup raspberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 banana
1 tsp flaxseed
** put all in VitaMix or blender 
*Top with hemp seeds

So my little guy doesn't like berries, so I made his and with all the other ingrediance and then added the raspberries for the rest of us:).
